On "Hazy Visions of Bliss", the new instrumental album from solo musician Dead Luke (former member of Non Travellin' Band, Pink Reason, Zola Jesus, etc.), the artist takes the listener on a long strange trip across nine blazed and blissed out movements. Straddling a number of genres from pulsating krautrock grooves, to soft new age meditations, to scorching fuzzed out doom, to bongo-spiced garage stomp, to stoned and zoned out acoustic western smoke, "Hazy Visions of Bliss" takes a number of unexpected turns but holds a deep underlying psychedelic mantra as it's compass - perpetually guiding it forward
