Mojohand’s Bar & Grill, the second long play album from New Jersey’s peerless pub-rockers Mojohand, mixes timeless bites of Mojohand’s signature Rock & Roll and Ginger-Soul(™) sound and peppers it with field recordings of conversations from people along the winding roads of America.
Mojohand’s Bar & Grill is a concept album that explores memory, nostalgia, the legend of rock & roll, and the changing world around us. Taking inspiration from the rock and soul sounds of 1970s Asbury Park, Stax, Motown, and early rock & roll classics that laid the groundwork for a world class touring bar band from New Jersey.
The album was recorded to tape with Hunter Davidsohn at Business District Recording in Johnson City, NY, and the songs were written and refined on the road all across the United States, but Mojohand’s Bar & Grill is a distinctly New Jersey sound.
